No Smoking Regulations Everywhere Except Your House - Fumatul interzis

At last people more people in Europe and the politicians agreed on banning smoking in all public places, pubs and clubs included. Germany and Ireland have already banned smoking in public places.
In the UK similar regulations will come into force on 1st of July 2007. So smoking will be outlawed in 130,000 clubs, pubs and restaurants in the UK. Smoking might become one of the most expensive vices if you are breaking the ban - the fine is £50. The fine for the premises which breaks the law and allows the customers to smoke is £2,500.
In my opinion it is not a matter of restricting some human rights. It is only about stopping people doing harm to themselves and spending the insurance funds on treating lung diseases or heart failure.
In Romania smoking is a major problem. 64% of the young people under 16 smoke on a daily basis.
I can hardly wait the day when smoking will be banned in Romania, too.

In sfarsit tot mai multi oameni din Europa si politicienii se pun de acord asupra interzicerii fumatului in toate locurile publice inclusiv baruri si cluburi. Germania si Irlanda au interzis deja fumatul in locurile publice.
In Marea Britanie reglementari similare se vor aplica de la 1 iulie 2007. Asa ca fumatul va fi scos in afara legii in 130.000 de cluburi, baruri si restauratnte din Regatul Unit. Fumatul poate deveni unul dintre cele mai scumpe vicii daca incalci interdictia - amenda este de 50 de lire sterline. Amenda pentru proprietarul care nu respecta legea si permite clientilor sa fumeze este de 2.500 de lire sterline.
Dupa parerea mea nu este o chestiune de restrangere a drepturilor omului. E pur si simplu o incercare de a opri oamenii sa isi faca rau singuri si de a cheltui banii de asigurare pentru tratarea bolilor de plamani sau a insuficientei cardiace.
In Romania fumatul e o problema majora. 64% dintre tinerii sub 16 ani fumeaza zilnic sau au fumat.
Eu personal abia astept sa apuc ziua cand si in Romania se va interzice fumatul.
